Marjorie A. (Tewksbury) Horgan, age 93, of Lynn, died Saturday in the Mountain View Community Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Frederick N. Horgan. Born in Williamstown, MA, she was the daughter of the late Allen W. and Lorraine C (LeBlanc) Tewksbury. She was raised in Lynn, and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She had also taken several drafting courses.
Marjorie had worked as a draftsman for General Electric, Riverworks plant for 20 years until her retirement in 1986. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida and summers on Cape Cod. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and had previously been a Cub Scout Den Mother. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing, knitting and sewing.

She is survived by her three children; Frederick N. Horgan and his wife Eileen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Eileen F. Lennon and her husband Richard of Chocorua, NH, and Timothy R. Horgan and his wife Eileen of Stoneham; six grandchildren; Laura Gilbert and her husband Michael of Margate, FL, Christopher Horgan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Daniel Lennon and his wife Stacy of Carlisle, MA, Katherine Hernandez and her husband Jorge of Lawrence, Kelly Svendsen and her fiancé John Hurley of Revere and Timothy D. Horgan and his wife Erin of Reading; seven great-grandchildren; Brooke and Caroline Gilbert, Felipe and Alexander Hernandez, Augustus and Aoife Lennon, and Ollie Svendsen; her brother, William Tewksbury and his wife Carolyn of North Reading; her sister, Katherine Wrynn and her husband James of Lynn; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Tewksbury.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30AM from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM.
